The strenght to the fire of a fire resistant door, can be
identified by fire endurance test and the evaluations of
these tests. This fire endurance test is made by directly
burning the door. In the simplest way we can describe this
test as assembling the sample door appropriately to the
support structure (wall) and by starting the burning process.
In order to simulate the accurate conditions, after getting
complete flame the time virsus the heat and pressure has
to be standardized. The ignition point of the fire is when all
the flammable objects flamed in the compartment.
In a real fire, the time until the full involve ment can either
be too long or too short. This can change according to the
fire lood, room size, shape and the quality of the ventilation
used in the area. The test can be made till 30 minutes 60
minutes, 90 or 120 minutes, or as long as long as you wish
till it is not risky to continue.
